Scare Factor: Fun Factor: Haunt Value:
We had heard about this place for some time and that it might be torn down, so we went as soon as it opened in October. When we got there, hardly anyone was in line and there were barely any lights on outside. We thought maybe the people who raved about it were kidding us, making us blow our money on a joke--but since we drove all the way from Crawfordville, we took the chance. Suddenly, they slid a giant freight door open, waved us inside, then slammed it behind us. It never let up from there! They had real snakes and spiders, crazy actors who kept popping up, and tunnels that kept going and going... we almost bailed out the exits because some in our group didn't think they could take it anymore. It seemed to get progressively darker and more gritty as it went along. Then when we finally got out, they sent us into this hangar that was pitch black and it had skeletons that followed us -- not guys in costumes, but actual moving skeletons, you can tell the difference! And a HUGE spider monster-- I'm not sure if it was a machine, or what, but it was the size of a horse and it chased us out of there. I've never seen anything like it. I've been to Universal and they had some better decorations but this place was much, MUCH scarier! (And only a fraction of the cost.)Posted January 2015

i attended this event with a group of people ages ranging from 12 to 38 and we all had a good time. it was nicely put togther yet only scary when people jumped out at you. closer to the end of the tour there were multiple groups of people gathered together instead of just our group of 8 (which was the amount of people they allowed in a group to enter at one time). the demonstations they showed us were not very entertaining (mainly due to the fact that there were so many people when all the groups combined and we could all see the "magic" behind the tricks) and seemed almost childish. over all there were good and bad sections to the haunted house. we mostly laughed through out the entire tour, except when we came upon the REAL snakes, which would creep anyone out.... im rating this event a 3 but it could definately lower the price especially since we drove an hour to get there for scares but came out with laughs!Posted October 2012
