What's new at Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club for 2019? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

This year we added an Operating Room and the Monk Walk. We have a new character, The Priest. His bio can be found on our Facebook page. We also will have food vendor(s), face painting, and free balloons for the kids.

What are you most excited about for the 2019 Halloween Season?

The Monk Walk!

What differentiates Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club from other local haunts in Florida?

We are a fundraising haunt that is raising money for the Ocoee Lions Foundation. This foundation supports charities in the local and Central Florida areas such as food banks, vision and hearing projects, diabetes awareness, pediatric cancer, and disaster recovery.

How long has Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club's history?

This is our 4th year. Last year we brought in more money than the last two years combined. This year we are hoping to double last year's total.

What's your favorite experience since opening Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club?

Meeting the public.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club from start to finish?

We are a small haunt so it takes less than 5 minutes to walk through (varies by group).

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club is? Why?

6 to 7; our characters and props.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

The love of Halloween and helping the community.

Can Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club together as a group?

Yes. We only allow 3 to 4 people in at a time. So the larger groups are broken down into smaller groups, but each smaller group gets a unique experience since they are the only ones in the haunt at that time.

Does Asylum Haunted House presented by Ocoee Lions Club offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

Not at this time.

Please bring your used eyeglasses, readers, sunglasses (both prescription and non-prescription), and hearing aids to be recycled and reused by those in need. Additionally, bring your NEW socks in for Socktoberfest that will be used to pass out to the homeless.
