What's new at Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo for 2026? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

Every year the story changes for this outdoor, in the wilderness, haunted event. This year is no exception; the trails and pathways will carry guests into places they have never been before. What could be better than dark spooky woods, scary creatures, amazing cast, and frightening story line?

What are you most excited about for the 2026 Halloween Season?

The guests themselves. We draw the best crowd and they are so much fun. It is an event that people not only enjoy but experience in such a way that it stays with them, they remember it, they talk about it with their friends in the days after the event is over.

What differentiates Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo from other local haunts in Florida?

Face the Fear is truly a small group experience. We isolate your group, you travel with a tour guide, and you get to experience the attraction in something besides the long cattle call type of lines that other attractions feature. This means that we have a limited number of tours available each night but the experience is worth it.

How long has Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo's history?

Face the Fear has been around for over 25 years in various locations but for the last 11 has been at home in Winter Springs. It is an outdoor event, so guests need to plan accordingly. It is immersive storytelling at it's best - that is one of the strengths. Time and time again we hear not only is it scary, but the scares are done well not relying on grossing people out, and it is also smart for those that want to take the time to get drawn into a bigger epic story.

What's your favorite experience since opening Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo?

The screams! We are completely volunteer driven, so the reactions of our guests is always the highlight for us.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo from start to finish?

20 minutes-30 minutes depending on the group. There are some variables along the path that can slow you down if the group gets bogged down. They are never lost but they can have some difficulty making the right choice to move forward :)

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo is? Why?

Well, if you are prone to being scared then it would be a 10
We have found that veterans of the scare industry rate us as a solid 8-9 each year - it is usually the unexpected moments that scare them the most

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

Face the Fear is designed to be immersive storytelling, designed for small groups, that really does have a practical purpose. Each guest that attends gets a chance to access resources that are expressly designed as a follow up the experience that will help encourage and strengthen them as they face fear in real life. In that way, the attraction lives up to it's name, Face the Fear. It is amazing how guests use these resources and contact us throughout the year with questions, thoughts, and share with us their journey beyond the attraction.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo?

In some ways we are love the old school approach, roll up your sleeves and build it! But there are always a few new bells and whistles that build on the tech tricks that are so popular today.

Can Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo together as a group?

Again, I emphasize, this is a small group experience. Usually, your group is no more than 6 people. As guests purchase tickets they are given a departure time. Often if it is a peak time of the night, the guests have time to grab a snack or a quick bite to eat and come back. We open the box office and will sell tickets until every group is filled for the evening.

We have a very short season every year - this year is 3 nights only. So it is easy to miss it - let me encourage you to make plans now, talk with friends and family, and plan on being there for Face the Fear - The Legend of GrizGo
