What's new at Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse for 2025? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We are loaded with surprises. Every experience is a different one and our guests will have a chance to experience fear at a new level. Each year there are brand new wrinkles - this year is no exception!

What are you most excited about for the 2025 Halloween Season?

For us this year because of calendar scheduling it is a short season. So we have been working for months to get ready and the 3 day season is going to be intense and aggressive. I am excited for our guests to finally get a chance to tackle the Gee Creek wilderness as they search for the Gator Guardhouse

What differentiates Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse from other local haunts in Florida?

It is a small group experience. Because of the unique design, the largest group you can be in is a group of six people. At times, this means we have to send larger groups in separately, but it works. The result is an intense, isolated, and face to face meeting with fear. One of the reviews from last year described us as an event with "heart" and I think that is true. We want people to have a great experience and we have poured our hearts into making it happen.

How long has Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse's history?

Face the Fear has been around for years. Each year there is a brand-new story that we unpack and unfold. It begins with a good story, and we allow that to drive our experience forward. We create around the story, not the other way around. We believe it keeps us fresh and exciting each year.

What's your favorite experience since opening Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse?

Hearing the screams and then having people come up and smile - they shout - "that was awesome"
There is something satisfying about knowing that for a few minutes, sheer terror was able to give way to an unexpected and amazing experience.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse from start to finish?

That depends upon the group - usually 15-30 minutes
The X factor for each group is how long it takes them to escape one of the mazes that is always featured in the experience

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse is? Why?

I'd put it at the top end of that scale - but that really depends upon the guest.
Some guests come in and have already decided to let loose and just have fun - that includes being scared. Sometimes guests come in daring you to scare them. They tend to be so uptight that they miss out on the fun of being immersed into another world for a few minutes.

Does Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

The property is located in Winter Springs and it does not have a haunted history - it is actually real wilderness and as a result is loaded with all the stuff that is scary about being in the woods in the darkness. It can terrify you on any given night - by the time we are done - well....

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

We are into storytelling and Face the Fear was born out of a desire to help people come Face to Face with real fears in their life. So for us, this is a chance to have a lot of fun and create memories but because of the resources people can get if they desire them, it can also help them deal with real world fears they face each day in life

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse?

We are always pushing the envelope, and this year, we have added some elements that we have never dreamed of using before - and they work

Can Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Face the Fear - Gator Guardhouse together as a group?

As stated earlier - it is a small group experience. When we open the box office what we sell is a time slot for a small group tour. When they are sold out, they are sold out and we will close up the box office - so get here early - we do sell out.
