There is a ghost that is rumored to walk along the shoreline of Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island. The ghost is believed to be Bali Hai. Urban legend says there was a newlywed couple that were staying at the Bali Hai Beach Resort, 6900 Gulf Drive N. and the bride lost her husband to the sea. She can now be seen walking the beach in her wedding gown and it has been reported that she only appears in August.
