We did a private ghost hunt in 2010 overnight and experienced several odd occurrences. Some highlights: 1- I am an empath and could not enter the original deceased owners office without asking permission because you could just feel that he wanted respect. Many people mentioned feeling attacked, watched or threatened when entering and this is probably why. 2- we experienced many occasions where foot steps could be clearly heard where no one was walking. 3- we recorded clear E.V.P.'s of people talking or saying get out. 4- a member of our team felt hands on his back as he stood at the edge of the catwalk 5- a photo taken of a family member on a different occasion in a different state gave us a fright. The photo was of a women and the family pet in front of an old oak tree on a plantation in old FL and the bark of the tree had a distinct and eerie image of an old woman in a shroud. This was only brought up because while searching 1 room full of pictures and oil paintings we found the portrait of the old woman in the shroud on the plantation where the new photo was taken. We brought it to our computer set up and compared the portrait to the digital photo and the outline matched line for line, totally bizarre. 6- in the room used for glasses we could hear shattering glass sounds all night but nothing was broken. 7- on the main stage we had a visual experience followed by an old scooter rolling out onto the stage by itself. All in all, give this location a shot. You won't be disappointed!

I started working at the Opera house about 6 months ago , I’ve attended several shows , I’ve sang on the stage every Thursday for 5 months .. I’ve had some silly little experiences such as , hearing someone walking behind me down the stairs & turn around to see no one there , I’ve been locked in the bathroom , heard the laughter of children when there was no one in there but my boss & I (she heard it too) , lights flickering (some caught on video) , but last night was the first time I’ve felt/heard something that made me feel intimidated . Around 10:30 pm my boss & I were showing a new girl the auditorium and the rooms , because no one was there and we didn’t have any event going on .. I’ve always been intrigued by the stage && the rafters so as usual I approached the stage , I looked up at the rafters like I always do , and instantly I heard a loud deep hum that I can’t really put into words , and almost like wind blowing down from the rafters onto the stage and out where I was standing in the audience section , while simultaneously receiving an energy of “get away from the stage” .. I didn’t necessarily feel scared as I am a child of God , a Christian . But that experience last night shook me for sure . I am the bartender for the Opera house and the pool hall downstairs , I can promise you , we’re not alone in that 119 year old building and I don’t know who that was in the rafters last night , but they mean business .

When I was a kid I grew up in Arcadia. In the late 1980s my brother and myself like to visit here and have seen on more than 1 occasions something moving or someone watch us from the stage.

The Arcadia Opera House, maintains it's original building and rooms and stage... with signs of the past written on the walls... as for ghost,,, I'm sure you might find some, but I don't believe it is as haunted as the owners would want you to believe... it is a antique shop.. with old stuff.. so you may find attachments or past souls... but wouldn't hold my breath...
