This place is NOT open to the public. Tried to ask permission to the owner to take pictures and just admire it but was met with rude remarks and accusations instead by owner.

I wanna start this by saying they have the cemetery locked up due to people disgustingly using it as a dumping ground & there are numerous working cameras on the trail as you walk back, very unfortunate. I even went out there and called the owners, asking to be let in and was denied. They don’t like visitors that’s for sure, only open rarely. Fortunately, I have gotten a chance to go back in there before & let me say if there is such thing as a truly haunted cemetery it is this one. The feeling you get in this place is insane. Feels like there’s people watching you from the trees, just over all the feeling that your not alone. My sister went there multiple times years ago with a group of friends, they had some pretty intense experiences & she has told me about it forever, so I had to see for myself. First of all, we have gotten some of the clearest Spirit box communication at this cemetery. I have multiple pictures of what I and everyone who has seen them, believe are spirits. Honestly, I can’t even describe the feeling once you’re in there it’s like you can’t breathe. I went in the broad daylight and just felt like I needed to run out of the gate. it was the most heavy, intense feeling I have ever felt in a cemetery in the day. I’ve always been interested in the paranormal, but after snapping a few photos here it has become a passion. Whatever energy lingers there doesn’t feel very good but some of it is. After leaving one night we had handprints on our car, no way they were ours looked like they were crawling DOWN the back window. I want to debunk this as it being so unsettling because you’re in essentially the middle of the woods once you’re back there, but I have been to many many abandon cemeteries in the middle of nowhere, and I have never got a feeling like this. Very strange, but incredible. If you risk going out here PLEASE treat this place with the upmost love & respect that is so deserves & beware of the hogs!!

I'll never forget the night we went. First the moment we drove into the cementary all of our phones drained from 100 to around 70%. Then we heard a huge bang around the porty potty went to investigate nothing was there. A couple other weird things happened. There was NO wind and there was a tiny wind tunnel thing there and it just started going crazy. We heard a baby cry then we saw something around the tree. We decided to leave and NONE of our cars wouldn't start. Finally after about 3-5 minutes they finally started. When we left we decided to go to the gas station and my friend saw there was a baby handprint and footprint on our his window. It was honestly a crazy, scary experience. I would 10/10 go head

A Seriously sad heaviness looms over this cemetery every times I’ve gone there. Odd bright large orbs noted sitting right at the tops of a few tombstones.
You know it’s haunted as soon as that dark tight road opens up to the cemetery.

My friends and I went here back in high school, 2006ish, we brought a camera, we saw several figures standing behind gravestones, we heard the drums, and the whispers, as we were driving around the trail to leave, my friends girlfriend who had the camera said “oh my god I just saw a baby” and when we turned the camera around, clear as day, a baby crawled across the trail. We went back in the day time and there is an infants grave next to their mother where we saw the figure. We got caught by cops out there and showed them the footage and instead of telling us to leave they left.

My friends and I went there the night before Halloween and didn't know any of the history behind this place or that it was such a renowned haunt. We didn't bring flashlights which I would recommend to other people because it is extremely terrifying walking down the road at night through the dense trees with only the flashlights on your phone. The air was very tense and clammy but we didn't witness any apparitions or sounds. What we did notice was that when we walked back to our car right in front of the gate there was a horrible smell of rotting death. We didn't smell it on the way in but it smelled like the rotten thing was hovering in our faces. I saw a similar comment on this message board about smelling a rotten smell when leaving but not when entering from back in 2020 and got chills all over. I have read about similar experiences with this place and have never felt so terrified about a place even a month after going. I will probably go back to visit with my friends during the day but I would warn against going at night.

Nothing like disturbing the souls of people who already endured a horrible life and finding entertainment in it, must be a great way to preserve the hx of those who suffered.

My husband and I have been hearing a lot about Spring Hill, so much, we decided to check it out. We're into adventuring and paranormal investigations. We drove about an hour to get there and it is now closed and posted private property with video surveillance... Kinda disappointed we couldn't go in, not sure if it's open to the public during the day still but it is definitely closed off at night. Still a very creepy drive. Hopefully we'll come back during the day and check it out.

Very eerie at night. Make sure to bring a spirit box! Using my SB7, I got a lot of chatter including a lot of “get outs” and even got someone to say “away with you.” Bring a lot of happy thoughts if you choose to visit the children’s part of the cemetery,

The fist times i went to this cemetary it was very cool but then moving on when i go i always's i have a bad fealing as soon as i enter and and i don't feal welcome. My dad found dead animal body's in a bag by the entrance and my dad took a picture from the woods and it look's like we saw a wolf or something bad looking a us so i would say the more u go the more u will get stuff because they see u more they will hate u more. I live in the area so I often like to take my Fort Dade drive, if you know the area you know fort dade road. Anyways, to begin idk if the kkk is still a thing but people DEFINITELY have STRANGE meetings here late at night, they will all leave in sync. I don't reccommend going in groups smaller than two. There used to be a tree further in the back with lots of chimes and trinkets hanging from it however I do believe voodoo was involved with some of the items that hung from the tree, that tree was taken down in 2019 i believe. Sadly i know the history and I hope that any spirits there will protect their resting site from any terrible people. The light poles often flicker, especially when theyre asking you to leave. I always tell spirit that I am there to pay respect and enjoy the scenery, clean up any trash, etc. Please remember to respect those who are no longer presently with us, they're not too far!

The first word I got on my phone evp device upon parking was “hung”. As in the man who was hung from the tree.
Then I recieved the word “military”. As we went to a flat tombstone. We were clearing the dirt off of it and the tombstone contained the word “ARMY”.
A while later some flattened balloons got my attention on the other side of the cemetery as they rose into the air. I walked over and began doing questions. Among some noise and residual words, my phone said “fell” and “crash. I realized that this was a newer tombstone from a male that died in his 30s.
On my way home I googled his name and cause of death. The article stated that he was trying to close a door on a vehicle he was in with friends while on the highway and he fell out of the vehicle, causing cars to crash around him.
Proof positive.

When we first got out of the car and started walking, we all heard a baby crying sound, we all noted it and continued looking around just to notice the grave we were walking past belonged to a baby. Other than that we heard nothing, my friend said she thought she saw something move in the bushes but wasn’t sure what it was and again other than that nothing.
The energy on the other hand was super intense and could be felt by all of us. It felt like something was sitting on my chest, it was almost hard to breathe and there was a cold feeling in my throat. My head felt super tight, like I was wearing a really tight headband almost. There was also something compelling two of us to go over to the back corner with the big tree. When we got there all the symptoms explained above got more intense, and we felt the same sort of energy pulling us towards the woods past the fence. We didn’t cross it, but we definitely felt extremely compelled to

We have been out there 5 times now. Always collecting EVP's and hearing screams and talking when no one is around. Only once in the daytime. I posted my videos on YouTube. Scary place. Really creapy! Caught no apparitions yet but still investigating.

Okay so.. I've been going here on and off the last 14 years or so. I started back in high school. We use to go very often during the day and at night. I was always respectful. I would clean up what I could(this was back when it wasn't taken care of much) and drag big fallen branches off into the woods, pick flowers to leave on graves so on. I have never seen anything out there, ever. Never heard a baby crying,no hanging man, none of it. However we did find a voodoo doll that was in some big rotting steaks and the whole thing was covered in black cloth with pins all in it. One night at around midnight we were out there and a car drove in and pulled up behind us and followed us out. We got a strong feeling we weren't welcome there. As we pulled out, there was a line of cars, about 10 or so pulling in. Now who would be out there that late? Had it been a few cars I'd have guessed maybe paranormal investigators but this was a lot of cars and they definitely didn't want us out there. The way that car pulled up behind us so close and made sure we left was unsettling. On another occasion we were out there late at night and when we got out all was normal at first. Then we started hearing sounds. They came from the surrounding woods. It didn't sound like an animal but it also didn't sound human, either. It was more human than animal tho. Like a weird wooping and hollering sound. It was an intimidating sound. We kinda brushed it off until that same sound started coming from more than one place in the woods. We stood there listening and the longer we were there the more places in the woods these sounds were popping up. It felt like someone or something was intentionally trying to mess with and intimidate us. There was no way 10 or more people were just standing all around the woods in different places like that. So that freaked us out and we promptly left. My ex swore up and down that he and 3 friends were out there one night and had a crazy encounter with what he called big foot but very smelly. They parked in back right and went over the fence and into the woods. One friend stayed behind while the other 3 went. He said the 3 of them were walking down a path only lit by the moon and they started to smell rotten eggs very strongly. They all joked at first, holding their noses and blaming each other for the smell. That is until he looked down the path and saw the silhouette of what he described to be big foot. He knew then that's where the smell was coming from and he took off running back toward to cemetery. He said he could hear this thing chasing him and it felt like that feeling when a dog is chasing you and you're scared and just trying to outrun it. He got back to the truck that his other friend was still in and jumped in. He could see his other 2 friends running back to the truck and they were equally as scared as he. They jumped in the truck and yelled for the driver to get them out of there. Later when they were recalling what happened they swore that thing was chasing them. My ex said that wasn't possible as it had been ahead of them, chasing him and that he didn't see anything chasing behind them when he was in the truck. I told him if anything that sounds like a Florida skunk ape. If such things actually do exist. Not the first time someone has told me a story about seeing one of those in and around this county. If they do exist I don't think they're living breathing animals but more of a type of spirit or interdimensional being. I've never seen one so don't really think they exist but...if they do,that would be my guess as to what they are. A couple other things happened out there but I've written enough! Lol if u ever have any questions feel free to shoot me an e-mail. Autumnembersmommy@yahoo.com

You will definitely get a fright.
While entering you feel a deep heavy feeling. 2 other ghost hunters and I felt it and also saw an apparition of a KKK member. We all saw it at the same time while entering the cemetery. I'm a medium so I can definitely tell you this place is definitely haunted. I have seen a boy and a girl apparition, also a man hanging from a tree.. also there are spirits in the woods. We went into the woods and got a lot of evp. Also saw a woman crying by a grave wearing a long white dress looked from back in the days . There are ghosts that walk amongst there that don't want us there. I have went there with a team and also by myself late night

On vacation from NY we decided to stop. The feeling you get is overwhelming. My mother always told me we were sensitive, I now believe her! My friend had her name whispered in her ear. I took video and upon listening back it was filled with whispers! We went back a few days later and was more peaceful feeling. Upon leaving I had what felt like a finger drag down my neck! Cant wait to review this time's video!!! Can see them on my channel Beccas_Bins :)

Drove past the Cemetary sign. I was intrigued and didnt believe there was actually a cemetary lurking through those woods. Low and behold after a short trip through a wooded area I came upon an opportunity open wrought iron fence. Sorry to disappoint everyone....but....It was a nice peaceful and clean cemetary. No hauntings occurred for me. I took pics down the dirt road and of the gate. To me nothing out of the ordinary in my pics.

I've made many respectful visits here, always being very careful in my walking and picture taking. A couple of times I've even cleaned up fast food trash and beer cans that dorks have left behind.
It doesn't seem that pictures or links can be uploaded here, but if they can I have some very interesting stuff, I think. No hanging man from any tree, I sure hope to never see such a tragic sight. But very interesting day and night pics, if uploading is allowed???

I used to go out there all the time and each time was a different experience but the last time made me never want to go back. As I pulled through the gates my lights started flickering, we drove to the further corner of the cemetery and parked. While outside the car all of my friends were standing around talking I was taking numerous pictures and wanted to view them afterwards. I suddenly heard a baby cry and my friends got scared and went to the car I stayed however and while standing there a loud ROAR (no joke) like screamed in my ear, I ran back to the car to try to leave but my car felt stuck, the cameras wouldn't let me take any more pictures, we seen two headlights entering the gates, looked like a really old fantasy car from the 1800's but as the car got closer it disappeared, when I went home I viewed my pictures and I seen a man hanging from a rope on the first big tree in the cemetery, the second pictures had like 5 different faces on my friends face and another picture looked like a ghost wearing a dress but couldn't really make up the full imagine and many orbs. This place is scary and has a lot of history behind it, the meat grinder is still in the woods as well.

My best friend, her boyfriend and I were out last Halloween riding around. Her and I were both so drunk and we were looking for an adventure. We weren't from brooksville, we were just out there for a party. When passing the cemetery we knew nothing about it, but my friend and I both begged her boyfriend to pull in through the gates. So he finally did and he parked. All 3 of us felt chills immediately. we stayed in the car and joked around trying to scare eachother and suddenly my friend opened the car door and started running towards the woods, then stopped and was staring up at the trees. Her boyfriend and I were both confused and freaked out & shouted at her to come back. She turned around and told us to be quiet and then we heard a baby crying in the distance that got louder and louder until it stopped out of nowhere. She ran back to the car and we tried to leave and our TIRES WERE STUCK IN THE SAND. We were all extremely scared, her boyfriend called his friend who left the party when we did, and he said he'd come with his truck and help us out but it'd be about 30 minutes. It was the longest 30 minutes of my life, and I'm pretty sure he arrived about 10 mins sooner than he said he would... the car lights started turning on and off, and the radio started skimming through different radio stations and the music would go from sounding normal to distorted. Then the car shut off completely and all 3 of us heard the voice of a man coming from inside the car whispering my friends name. Then we heard tapping on the back window. We saw flashlights coming from the woods and nobody else was out there. My friends boyfriend who is like super serious type and hardly ever jokes around swore he saw a little girl running towards the car WITH NO FACE. The next morning the drivers side of the car had a scratch all the way down the side of it, and all the windows were covered in child hand prints.

(Visit Feb 2017) A friend brought me and my daughter there to show me some of historic Spring Hill/Brooksville. It was day time when we went. I have never felt more energy in one place. I didnt feel the energy inside the graveyard, I felt it outside the white fence looking in a us (mostly from the area with the clearing, straight ahead from where you pull in). It was a peaceful feeling. We walked around and looked at dates and names. I was very intrigued by the energy. I have had 2 experiences with hauntings, one peaceful and one not so much once we disturbed her. Although we had no interaction with the spirits they knew we were there and we knew they were. It was a very enlightening experience. Beautiful cemetery ??

Yes, I'm being for real! The cemetery is my happy place. I stumbled upon this gem of a location about 3 years ago when I had moved out to the area. I was/still am very much into the paranormal. I also work with a paranormal team doing investigations. Needless to say...
I did my research on this beautiful haunt spot and took the past claims and went out on several occasions and still do to this day, including tonight to conduct my own investigation. I've had several experiences while out there. The very first was a child sized hand print on my car when no children were in or around my car or with me. I've captured multiple EVP's, pictures of orbs, pictures of large white mists, my hands been touched, my hair has been played with, I've heard the blood curdling scream of a woman on multiple occasions, dogs barking in the woods surrounding it when there's no houses close enough for you to hear anyone's pets that may be outside, the dolls at the girls grave have been scattered throughout the cemetery or just missing in general, the 2 lights in the corner of the cemetery flicker off and on, upon entering the gate you will sometimes get the feeling of being watched or that you're not welcome there, I've heard foot steps walking behind and around me, something charged at me from in the woods but when I stopped it did and continued as I walked back to my car but nothing ever appeared, I've seen shadow figures and heard someone walking through the woods while I've been sitting in the bed of the truck.
Now, like most haunted locations it has its past and don't we all... it's been known for drugs, grave robbing, a murder(s) happened there, satanist, and KKK have all played a part in its history. But as frightening as most of these experiences have been I still love going there. Day or night. I was there again tonight and it was an experience!

I found this cemetery about 3 years ago when I moved out to the area. I love the paranormal and do investigations with a team. I go out there more often than not and on countless occasions have caught EVP's, pictures of orbs, heard a woman's blood curdling scream multiple times. I've been during the day and it seems like your everyday run of the mill cemeteries but at night it takes on a whole different light, or darkness you could say. There's been dogs that have been heard barking in the woods with no houses close enough to hear any pets they may have, lights flickering on and off in 2 corners of the cemetery, the dolls at the little girls grave have been moved around or are completely gone and upon entering the gate you get this overwhelming feeling of being watched/like you shouldn't be there. I've also had a child sized hand print on my car when no children were in or around it, my hands been touched, I've had my hair played with. It's never let me down for experiences that's for sure.
Springhill cemetery has had its dark past as all good haunts have. There's been problems with people going out and abandoning animals, drugs, grave robbing when "satanist'" went there, murders and history with the KKK. It's a beautiful place with a rich history! I love it ????

I happened to wonder across this cemetery with a friend a few years back. We were waiting on a another friend to finish a job interview at the RaceTrac on FortDade so we decided to walk around the cemetery. At the time I didn't have shoes on just socks so I was kind of stepping from stone to stone to avoid any sandspurs. I have always loved looking at grave stone dates and all the names. We decided to leave and as we did for some reason I recalled my mom telling me as a child never to walk on the graves because it was disrespectful. I got a really eerie feeling all of a sudden. As we got in his car (which was parked just inside the metal gate) a voice in my head told me to put my seat belt on because we were going to crash (it wasnt my own voice). Before I could get the words out he lost control of the wheel and we spun multiple times before sliding so far in the sand I couldnt open my car door. I was less than 2 inches from a tree. The car digging in the sand is all that saved me. I had been riding with my friend for years and never been even close to an accident. We had to literally dig his tires out of the sand. When I asked him what happened he couldn't explain. I have returned twice after that, the last time was less than 4 months ago. I found what looked like a voodoo seance hanging from a tree. It had some flowers on it and a weird old altoid mint container attatched. We didnt open it. The friend I was with and myself looked at each other and ran to the car. I refuse to go back. I get a bad feeling just thinking about it.
I have heard from friends and old folk in Brooksville that there was a KKK slaughter house somewhere behind the cemetery if you walked outside of the fence straight back. I myself have never wondered back there and I have no intentions too. Seeing that this is a mostly colored cemetery I wonder if the spirits have some anger towards lighter skinned people. I am very curious but I'm scared enough to never go back.

Scariest time was: there were quite a few of us around 10 and we all heard a lady screaming. While we were Back in the woods down a road we heard a pack of dogs barking chasing us and they kept getting closer and closer,we started running toward the car as soon as we got to the car they stopped. Last time we were there a cop came and made us leave, he said people have been out there vandalizing the place. I don't know how people can say they have never heard or seen anything out there.

Back in high school in 2004 me and my buddies would go back there with girls and act all tough try to scare them. Well one night we went back there around 3am and parked and turned the lights off. We opened the windows and everyone was scared saying to close the windows and just kidding around I said, "do u hear that?" As everyone got quiet we heard a baby crying in the woods, I turned the lights back on and out of no where there was a guy standing over a grave holding a flashlight that wasn't on! I backed the vehicle up almost backed right into an oak tree ripped a U-turn and floored it down fort Dade toward 50! Never been back since!

2 nights in a row while driving past 2 different cars stopped running and had to be towed. Both cars went to a mechanic and both cars had nothing wrong and started up fine the next morning with no explanation. On another occasion while driving up to the entrance a blackness enveloped the vehicle and felt it push backwards. We left quickly. Feeling shaken we were not curious anymore and decided it's best to leave them at rest.

I went out there with a few friends and have pictures of a little girl sitting next to a tree then in the next few pictures she gets up and runs away and disappears. I already know to not drive past the gate because it is known that your battery will die. It felt like something was pushing us out. We also had recordings of a man laughing and someone humming a song.

Went out there over 10 years ago with a few friends. We were all packed in a pickup truck. Once we got to the cemetery we got out and walked around it was late after midnight. Only way we could see was with the headlights from the car. We started walking around and once we were far enough from the truck the lights went out. Pitch black!!! None of us had a lighter or flashlight. Nowhere to run because you couldn't see anything. One of us had a cell phone old Nokia. As soon as we got the phone out to guide us back to the truck it died. Screaming yelling and crying some of us we made it back to truck and it didn't start after 20 tries it did. We left and me personally never went back. I took it as a warning.

I took my niece and nephew out there about 10 years ago or so now and we were in the car, turned the radio down and blessed ourselves before exiting the car. We stod about 10feet infront of the car we were in. My nephew out of nowhere takes off back to the car. My niece and myself continued up through the graveyard, when we heard foot steps just to the right of the cemetary. We stopped, it stopped moving when we did. She took off back to the car. Im tryong not to trip over the head stones. We got back into the car. I started backing up to leave the cemetary and the radio came back on by itself to old music from generations before us. By the time i got back to my house that night. There was a piece of my front fender well gone where the hood and fender lined up together... My nephew later told us the reason he ran back to the car was because something touched the back of his neck in sweeping motion towards his head. Thats an experience i will never forget !

I am a paranormal investigator and me and my crew went there a few times already and every time we do we get lots of good pictures of orbs even one picture where you can see someone hanging from a tree also we get lots of EVPs from there so there's definitely some unrested Souls hanging around the cemetery he even made contact with a little girl and everytime we go near her grave my K2 meter goes off like crazy as with many of the grave sites there I don't feel creeped out but that's just me because this kind of stuff doesn't scare me but some of my crew does get creeped out and get cold chills really bad when we go there but we will continue to go there once in awhile and we always tell them we come in peace and that we just want to know their story and if they want to communicate with us they can and we always say a prayer before we leave

I've spent the night out there a few times, hoping to see something with friends. Never seen/heard anything. Been out there many times during various hours of the night, still nothing.
I have taken pictures with my phone and seen orbs and other squiggly spirals of different colors in thr shots.

So it was the usual hang out spot back then until cops starting showing up lol, my friends and I had just pulled in we had gotten out of the truck and this girl and I were walking towards the cemetery and there was what looked like a lady and 3 children, one being an older male and the other were maybe about 4 or 5, standing holding hands over a headstone. I was out before I could blink, the girl and I ran... and we never spoke about it until a later date lol. This place has some untold stories I'm sure, some souls lost and unfortunate. But also back deeper in the woods we did find some creepy stuff, and I'd be careful because there was a HUGE STACK like over 100 "magazines" from the 70s & more ..magazines if you know what I mean.... ew lol probably some creepers out there I'd be careful. BTW I didn't see something every time I had went, but a few times there is things that catch your eye, this just happens to be the craziest thing I've came close to there though. A cop said he eats his lunch out there, I guarantee he was lying lol

When i was in middle school i had gone there several times. Only once at night. I went with my sister and her boyfriend it was raining outside really bad and we started hearing the cries outside so we were starting to leave we looked outside the back glass of his car and a huge white mist was coming up really fast behind us. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.
