Olustee Battle Field
Sanderson, FL 32087
This battle field is supposedly haunted, according to the Civil War reenactors. They have occasionally captured eerie orbs in photos, almost as if soldiers' spirits were trying to interact with the reenactments.

My husband and I just visited the Olustee Battlefield and cemetery. We were lucky enough to speak to the Ranger who is also involved in the reenactments as an officer. He gave us an in-depth history of the battle and the many strange occurrences only after I asked him about strange occurrences there. I asked because I immediately felt the presence of others walking through the cemetery and then while hiking the entire area and trails. I went ahead of my husband and before I reached the first informational marker I heard a voice whisper in my ear "go away ". I turned around expecting my husband behind me, but he was still at our vehicle behind a large bush 20 feet away. This was supposedly a frequent occurrence for visitors along with ciold spots which we also encountered. There is a quiet eeriness at the entire site. There is a definite feeling of death and restlessness here. Indescribable unless you walk through the area yourself. Very much like Gettysburg, which I have also visited and experienced the same sense of the dead who died tragically. I would never go there alone as to the number of remains still at the site that have never been removed. An incredible experience.

I was driving past the battlefield last night and saw two orbs moving through the trees. Floating around definitely not anyone with flashlights or anything. It was very eerie.

I had only been a boy scout when I went there once.
We were doing the average parts of boy scouts, such as just camping, but the feeling of being watched could be felt.
When we were packing up to leave, I saw a white figure standing behind the tree. Pretty spooky stuff honestly, and it probably didn't help I was there on halloween.

I hunt out there every year, and have been in these woods at all hours of the day, and night. It's woods people. Never felt weird, never saw anything out of the ordinary. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but it's just woods. Safer and less scary out there at Midnight, than downtown Lake City at 12 noon!

I have been there in the daytime. It has an eerie feeling to it. You can tell that you are not alone, cold spots and shadows moving. I have driven by this place at night and have also seen apparitions of young men in soldier uniforms on the side of the road near the cemetery right by it. With so much death and violence here how could anyone not expect it to be haunted???
