Harden House
Clearwater, FL 33756
John W. Hardin is the ghost that is rumored to haunt this location. In 1975, he was shot to death in the backyard sometime during or after his truck caught on fire. His killer has still never been found and the case remains unsolved. His wife, Victoria Mango Hardin, has claimed seeing his spirit dressed in the same clothing in which he was killed: jeans and a flannel shirt. The current owners of the home report that the ghost no longer haunts the place. The story was featured on an episode of TV’s “Unsolved Mysteries.”
